3-year contract building product features for Naval Architect's digital-twin platform, used by actual ship designers and marine engineers in Germany.
The stack was unusually broad: Angular frontend, NestJS and Django backends, C++ for performance-critical 3D calculations, Flutter for cross-platform interfaces, all on PostgreSQL. Developed modules for 3D modeling workflows, vessel data management, and syncing data between multiple design tools.
This was the kind of project where you need to understand the domain deeply. Ship design software has zero tolerance for imprecision and the engineering workflows demand reliability. Improved performance and stability across the platform over the full engagement.
